Under the motto ‘Everything you can make from milk’, you can sample high-quality cheeses from more than 30 selected suppliers at Markthalle Neun.
For the fourteenth time, Markthalle Neun will be transformed in November into a bubbling cauldron of the international cheese world. At a time when long-haul travel is often on hold, Cheese Berlin simply brings the globe to Kreuzberg: cheese is a passport-free journey across Alpine slopes, Scandinavian maturing cellars and Uruguayan pastures.
Cheese Berlin is not a silent cheese counter, but a convivial celebration of coming together. Here you’ll meet genuine characters and eccentric souls who otherwise seem to live in seclusion in their maturing cellars – far removed from any ‘Heidi’ romance, but full of passion, conviction and uncompromising craftsmanship. Where else can you meet over 50 international producers in person, sample rare delicacies fresh from the knife, strike up a conversation and broaden your horizons in the most delicious way imaginable?
Whether it’s centuries-old Swiss alpine tradition, the Scandinavian cheese renaissance or the radical natural cheesemaking movement from South America: at the market, on guided tours and tastings, on stage, and at the Slow Food round-table discussions, the global cheese community shares knowledge, culture and the finest forms of refined milk.
Come and savour cheeses from around the world.
