The group meets online once a week for an hour to practise speaking German. Participants come from all over the world – mostly young adults living in Germany who want to speak more German – and there are one or two facilitators whose mother tongue is German.

Conversation topics arise spontaneously during the session, usually everyday topics such as food, travel, leisure activities, public holidays, etc. The participants want to get into the swing of speaking; the aim is for you to understand one another, not for you to be perfect in grammar or expression.

Are you a good listener and do you enjoy talking to people? Then join ‘Dialog in Deutsch’!
You should enjoy talking to different people time and again about everyday topics using simple sentences, and facilitating the group. You’re a good listener and approach participants from different countries with an open mind. Your aim is to encourage them to speak; you don’t need to talk much yourself.
