Tempelhof Airport is Europe’s largest architectural monument—and at the same time one of the most exciting development projects of our time. Since flight operations ceased in 2008, the site has been undergoing a fundamental transformation: From a monumental infrastructure project of the National Socialist dictatorship to a vibrant, mixed-use site in the heart of the city.
Tempelhof Visions: Urban development at first hand
The “Tempelhof Visions” tour focuses on the airport’s recent history and current development. During a tour of selected areas of the THF TOWER, you’ll learn about the challenges and opportunities involved in the repurposing of Tempelhof Airport—and why the site is a key venue for negotiations regarding Berlin’s urban development.
The tour only covers the areas of the End Building West and THF TOWER. The Main Hall is not included in the tour.
