Opera singer Anne Schuldt joins forces with jazz pianist Bardo Henning

She sings his settings of poems by Kurt Tucholsky, Jacob von Hoddis, Valeska Gert, Else Lasker-Schüler and others. Her programme centres on a ‘lyrical dialogue’ based on poems by Ingeborg Bachmann and Paul Celan.

Anne Schuldt is a mezzo-soprano renowned for her expressive interpretations of Wagner’s great female roles, such as Brangäne, Fricka and Waltraute. She performs at renowned opera houses such as the Staatsoper Unter den Linden and the Chemnitz Opera, and will return to Dessau in 2026 to reprise the role of Brangäne.
