Holy Shit Shopping

This Christmas market in Berlin will take place on 28 and 29 November 2026

On the first weekend of Advent in 2026: during the Holy Shit Shopping event, the Haus der Visionäre is transformed into a pre-Christmas design mecca. The Christmas market, which has little in common with traditional Christmas markets apart from mulled wine, is one of the highlights in the pre-Christmas capital. The organisers invite design enthusiasts to promote innovative ideas from the creative industries, support innovative approaches and celebrate social engagement.

A pre-Christmas pop-up department store for over 20 years

The ‘mother of all design Christmas markets’ has been taking place since 2004 – that’s over 20 years now! It all began with a small design market at the legendary Café Moskau; today, Holy Shit Shopping has become an integral part of pre-Christmas Berlin.

Hand-picked designers and artists

Over two days at Holy Shit Shopping, selected international designers and artists showcase their highly creative and high-quality lifestyle products. If you’re on the hunt for truly special Christmas presents, this is the place to indulge yourself. Fashion, jewellery, furniture, art, literature, photography: you’re sure to find something here for yourself and your loved ones!

Street food to the beat of Berlin

In between, you can refuel with seasonal street food, mulled wine, beer and schnapps in lounges and bars, whilst enjoying the atmosphere to the beats of Berlin DJs.
