Textile Techniques: Knowledge, Skill, and Passing on the Tradition

On the 20th Textile Day, numerous artists will be showcasing their work and running mini-workshops where visitors can try out various techniques.

A day out for the whole family

Programme

12 noon and 2 pm | Guided tour of the exhibition ‘Heavy Fabric’: Women’s life stories – heavy fabric?

Bright, pop-art colours on a golden background alongside jet-black wedding dresses: Danube Swabian garments offer surprising insights into the former lives of women and girls. This world was confined, as it was governed by village and church rules, yet also vast, as it offered the diversity of a multicultural society.
