The second event in this new series of discussions asks, “Is AI meant to serve humanity?” The evening’s moderator, Prof. Dr. Petra Anders (Humboldt- Universität, 2025 Communicator Award), will speak on this topic with, among others, Prof. Dr. Ute Schmid (Chair of Cognitive Systems, University of Bamberg, Communicator Prize 2026) and Dr. Katharina Weitz (Fraunhofer HHI, Vice President of the German Informatics Society) on how AI can be designed and used in a human-centered, explainable, and responsible manner.

In a dialog-based and interactive setting, you as participants are also invited to share your perspectives and discuss key questions at the intersection of science, technology, education, and society together with the panelists.

The event is presented by the Zentrum für Kulturtechnik (ZfK) at the Humboldt-Universität with the kind support of the Stifterverband and the German Research Foundation (DFG).
