The Artisanen set out on a biographical journey: Using a puppet and many props, they tell the story of the eventful life of the Swedish author, who not only wrote magnificent children’s literature but was also a keen observer of her time and advocated for the equal coexistence of children and adults—not just through her famous Peace Prize speech.
The evening sheds light on the life of a woman who remained politically active well into old age, fought for children’s and animal rights, and urges us to approach the world with curiosity and courage.
Her message remains: “Reason must be rediscovered in order to create a better world.”
