Kafka: Between Vocal Art and Noise
Maria Jamborsky and Marcel Siegel combine spoken language, expressive gestures, live double bass and electronic sound layers in an evening exploring fear, control and the search for safety.
“Kafka’s work is less something to be interpreted than something to be explored through experimentation.”
Following this idea, “The Burrow Project” unfolds as a hybrid, hypnotic trip between literary precision and sonic eruption. Kafka’s text is inhabited through sound, dismantled and politically charged: a paranoid animal burrows through a system of fear and control, encountering its own echo as an enemy. The precariousness of existence and the fear of an invisible threat become palpable.
A mask inspired by silent cinema and expressive gestures meet dense, rhythmically driven language. Interwoven live with double bass, loop systems and electronic layers of noise, they create an auditory labyrinth whose boundaries constantly shift—a ritual loss of control between vocal art and noise.
