Ellene Hartounian is a painter and primary school teacher. Her works combine a naïve, dreamlike visual language with sombre elements and explore how a childlike sense of wonder can be preserved in a volatile world. Her surreal landscapes, inspired by dreams and nightmares, create a space in which beauty and unease can coexist harmoniously.
With poems by Sofia Koch. As memories fade, they become bittersweet dreams: snippets of conversation, scents, sparkling lights dancing on windowsills. Through multilingual poems, Sofia invites the audience to share in her memories and to experience how they gently slip from our minds.
