Songs by BIPoC artists, plus a surprise support act
Com Chor Berlin stands for Community Choir. The choir was founded on 2 April 2013 by Dr Dr phil. Daniele G. Daude as Germany’s first choir for Black people, Indigenous people and People of Colour (BIPoC). It all began with two aspirations: to perform challenging music without sheet music and to bring BIPoC communities together. Shelly Phillips has been directing the choir since 2023.
Com Chor Berlin is a musical empowerment project. Every song is arranged specifically for the choir. This gives rise to new keys, melodies and rhythms, transforming familiar songs into something entirely unique. They sing in many languages, about love, friendship, despair, light-heartedness and carrying on despite everything.
