DANCE, DREAM, DEATH: A Raw Butoh Soirée of Intercultural Alchemy

Butoh is a form of dance that originated in Japan in the late 1950s. Through unusual movements and powerful imagery, the performers convey emotions, memories and transformations. The result is a world that needs no words.

Raw Butoh Night invites you to a special evening of dance, live music and dreams aboard a boat on the River Spree.

In the unique atmosphere on the water, international Butoh artists and Berlin-based performers come together with experimental musicians. Solo performances give rise to exciting encounters between movement and sound.

Curious about Butoh? Experience an evening of dance and experimental live music, where bodies, sounds and images give rise to new and surprising worlds.
