Behind the Scenes of HOLIDAY ON ICE

From November, HOLIDAY ON ICE will be embarking on a major tour of Germany, visiting 21 cities with its new show, MIRAGE, and is now offering a first glimpse into the rehearsals with the latest photos.

Action-packed stunt skating, spectacular aerial acrobatics and costume changes in under 60 seconds – all of this requires intensive rehearsals to ensure every jump and every move is spot on. Joining the line-up: superstar LINA!

For the 35 skaters – all top international athletes from 12 nations – the next few weeks will involve intensive training both on and off the ice, perfecting technical sequences, and fine-tuning the choreography and costume designs, so that everyone is ready for the grand premiere on 18 November.

In Berlin, MIRAGE can be seen at the Tempodrom from 26 February to 14 March 2027. LINA will be appearing as a guest star at the premiere show. Minerva Hase and Nikita Volodin will also be making guest appearances on 4 March.

For months, Creative Director Robin Cousins has been developing the new HOLIDAY ON ICE show MIRAGE together with his team, dramaturg Kate Golledge and the choreography duo Mark Naylor and Yebin Mok. As an Olympic champion and figure-skating legend, Robin Cousins has been shaping the creative development of HOLIDAY ON ICE shows for many years. With MIRAGE, Cousins is creating an immersive festival world in which world-class figure skating and modern live entertainment come together in a unique way. Here, reality and performance, friendship and rivalry, light and shadow collide.

MIRAGE celebrates individuality, glamour and the courage to be oneself. The extraordinary costumes uniquely blend haute couture, festival fashion and performance. Each design lends the characters an unmistakable identity and visually develops their story – from glamorous statement looks to modern, urban silhouettes. The athletes are set in the right light by Morgan Evans, a lighting designer who has previously worked on major events such as the Eurovision Song Contest.

Superstar LINA joins the rehearsals

In keeping with the festival theme, Superstar LINA is joining the team as a guest star this year. The successful actress and singer not only aims to enchant visitors musically during her performances in selected tour cities, but is also venturing onto the ice herself! And because she wants to deliver a flawless performance in this discipline too, LINA was present at the start of rehearsals to get to know the cast and, for the first time in her life, venture onto the HOLIDAY ON ICE stage made of ice.
