Discussion at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, followed by a get-together in the Dinosaur Hall

Hunting for and collecting data – how AI is changing our view of the world. In this instalment of the joint event series ‘Science, of course!’ organised by the Museum of Natural History and the WZB, we’ll all explore together how artificial intelligence is transforming our understanding of data.

How exactly is the data we see in exhibitions or studies generated? And how is AI changing the way this data is collected, organised and interpreted? From large language models and automated monitoring to citizen science via apps – AI opens up new possibilities, but also presents challenges.

They will discuss how reliable AI-generated data is, what biases may arise, and how the roles of experts and algorithms are shifting.
