The „Schizzo-Club“ reopens
Back when Rigaer Straße was still largely occupied and almost every basement housed a bar, a club or an exhibition, the “legendary” club “Schizzo-Tempel” was located at number 77. The 1990s in Friedrichshain were characterised by upheaval, vacant properties and the brief summer of anarchy.

THEATER TECHNO TEMPE
The clearance of Mainzer Straße, the merging of East and West Berlin, and gentrification have transformed the neighbourhood and continue to do so. Today, the ‘Theater im Kino’ is based in the former ‘Schizzo’ premises and is bringing the club back to life once more with the performance ‘Theater Techno Tempel’.
