Weihnachtssingen im Kiez

With you all there, the Kesselhaus will be transformed into a place full of music, community and Christmas spirit. On the third Sunday of Advent, young and old alike gather there to sing the most beautiful German and international Christmas carols together – true to the motto: ‘Singing together makes us happy!’

As in previous years, the focus is not only on the music but also on bringing the neighbourhood together. Together with the Stage Company and many dedicated supporters, you’ll celebrate the run-up to Christmas and send a message of solidarity.

Once again, 2 euros from every admission fee will be donated to a charity. This year, support is going to the STREET COLLEGE run by GANGWAY e.V. in Berlin. This educational project supports young people aged between 16 and 27 who cannot find a suitable place to learn within the mainstream school system, opening up new prospects for them through personalised educational programmes. With courses in music, film and art, as well as preparation for school-leaving qualifications, the STREET COLLEGE nurtures their strengths and helps them to overcome personal hurdles and develop career prospects. As the project receives only partial public funding, it relies on donations to continue this vital educational work and provide individual socio-educational support.

The ‘Christmas Sing-along in the Neighbourhood’ has now become a firm fixture in Berlin – a place where people come together to sing, donate and experience the special power of music.

Before and after the event, you should also visit the wonderful Lucia Christmas market.
