Paris, 1936: Exiles who have fled the Nazi regime gather at the Café du Dôme. Here, life spins ever faster, like a merry-go-round from the edge of which some are in danger of plummeting into the abyss. At the centre of this ‘game of life’ is the young Nadia Schumacher, whose husband, the communist Peter, is imprisoned in Dachau.
Reading with the translator and editor Armin Strohmeyr, with musical accompaniment by Matthias Felsch.
